ServerIron ADX NAT64 Configuration Guide 123
53-1002444-02
IP NAT redundancy
7
DRAFT: BROCADE CONFIDENTIAL
ServerIronADX(config)# access-list 10 permit 10.1.1.0 0.0.0.255
4. Configure a dynamic NAT pool on each ServerIron ADX, and assign device ownership to the NAT
pool. In this example, ServerIron ADX A is assigned as the NAT Pool owner, and therefore takes
the higher priority value:
SI_A(config)# ip nat pool P1 63.2.63.200 63.2.63.200 prefix-len 24
SI_A(config)# ip nat pool P1 port-pool-range 2
SI_B(config)# ip nat pool P1 63.2.63.200 63.2.63.200 prefix-len 24
SI_B(config)# ip nat pool P1 port-pool-range 1
5. Tie the inside source ACL to the dynamic NAT pool and enable PAT (overload)
ServerIronADX(config)# ip nat inside source list 10 pool P1 overload
ServerIronADX(config)# ip nat inside
6. Configure the inside interface of the default gateway router with an IP address from both the
dynamic NAT pool subnet, as well as the inside network. The reason is that the default gateway
should be ping-able from both the ServerIron ADX switch as well as from the private client
subnet. For example:
Router(config)# interface ve 2
Router(config-VE)# ip address 63.2.63.44 255.255.255.0
Router(config-VE)# ip address 10.1.1.1 255.255.255.0
Configuring static NAT redundancy in Hot-Standby mode
Follow these steps to enable the minimum required configuration for static NAT in Hot-Standby
mode, as shown inFigure 23.
