Displaying rule-based ACL entries
5
DRAFT: BROCADE CONFIDENTIAL
Replacing comments applied to named ACLs
To replace the last comment entered for a named ACL, enter the remark <comment-text>
command within the ACL configuration. The previous comment is overwritten.
In the following example, the last comment entered for the named ACL called melon is replaced
with the comment “Permit sales”.
ServerIronADX(config)# ip access-lists standard melon
ServerIronADX(config-std-nacl)# remark Permit sales
NOTE
Only the last comment applied to the ACL can be replaced using this method. If multiple comments
have been applied to the ACL, you must delete and reenter the ACL entry to update the comment
applied to that ACL entry.
Deleting comments applied to named ACLs
To delete a comment from a named ACL, enter remark <comment-text> command using the no
operand such as in the following example.
ServerIronADX(config)# ip access-list melon
ServerIronADX(config-std-nacl)# no remark All users allowed
Syntax: no remark <comment-text>
The remark <comment-text> identifies the comment to be deleted from the ACL entry. The
<comment-text> must exactly match the existing value for the specified comment to be deleted.
Displaying rule-based ACL entries
